PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The students will start with a field trip to the local aquarium’s Amazon Gallery program.  They will then brainstorm answers for the driving question (with the field trip experience in mind).  Through research, guest speakers, books and the internet they will seek to find enough information to create a public service announcement to share with their class and parents.  We will have a rainforest food potluck to celebrate the completion of their posters.

Ideally this project will aim to change the behaviours of ourselves and others with the environment, and with plants and animals, specifically.
