Is the way I use my phone more a window or a mirror?
Students will research and investigate the impact of their own phone usage in their personal lives (mirror) and how changing their paradigm will make it more of a tool (window). They will conduct personal research on brain activity and the psychology of dependence, as well as surveys and interviews with counselors and psychologists to come to their own conclusions about the ubiquitous phone they carry with them.
CONNECTIONS AND PERSPECTIVES:
Students will hopefully come away with greater awareness of how their phone usage affects their lives emotionally, socially and psychologically. They will help younger students new to phones to understand the impact of phones and guide them to making good decisions.
