Our Solar System

DRIVING QUESTION:

How does our solar system impact daily life on earth?

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Students will begin by exploring myths and legends that relate to our solar system. In small groups they will research a specific part of our solar system and analyze its impact on human culture and Earth’s geography. They will then create a lesson to teach to their peers, based on a student built rubric. It will conclude with a time of reflection and assessment.

CONNECTIONS AND PERSPECTIVES:

Through this project students will find value and purpose in God’s creation outside of Earth. Teaching one another, students will be able to practice their communication and critical thinking skills, as well as discover more about their personal identity.
