Design a God-Honouring Ancient Civilization

DRIVING QUESTION:

What would an ideal civilization look like if everything was done with the idea of honouring God?

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Given a specific world biome, students will design an ancient civilization that would honour God. They will create a display which will include: map of location, map of geographic features, weather chart of temperatures and precipitation, list/poster of resources (animals, plants, minerals), examples/models of technology, buildings and/or transportation, language poster including original alphabet, samples of money or tokens for trade, description of government with a list of laws, sample of music or national anthem, flag, costume which reflects climate and resources. There will be 4 students per group. When the projects are completed they will share them with their peers, to other classes/grades and to parents and friends.

CONNECTIONS AND PERSPECTIVES:

Students are challenged to have a Godly impact on their country and community. They will be required to take leadership roles within their groups and serve others with their presentations.
