DRIVING QUESTION:

Genetically Modified Organisms – Right or Wrong?

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Students will be introduced to work on a project on Genetically Modified Organisms and their implications by watching a video clip: “Super Humans Genetic Mutations”. Students will then work in partners to study the pros and cons of genetic modification of organisms and will write up an article in favour or against genetic modification. They will present their views to the public be creating a public service announcement flyer, brochure or poster.

CONNECTIONS AND PERSPECTIVES:

Students will be encouraged to consider the issue in terns of the religious thoughts they have about creation and nature as well as talk about the ethical considerations of using GMO’s.
