PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

“Service Learning” has been happening for 5+ years at our school, but we have never had an intentional way for students to reflect upon and learn from their experiences.  Service Learning happens twice during the year, each for six consecutive Monday afternoons.  As series of reflection opportunities spread out over the six week time period when they are doing their service projects will challenge students to think about their experiences and set goals for further growth.  It will culminate in a five minute presentation to their peers, teachers, and service organization leaders.

We want our students to be thoughtful about their choices and have these choices informed by actual experience and the revelation of God’s word.
