DRIVING QUESTION:

How are animals and plants affected by changes to their environment in our local area?

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Students will begin by visiting various wetlands in our local area to make observations of plants and animals in the environment. They will also look at local newspaper reports about wetlands being buried or damaged. In small groups students will be assigned a specific component to contribute towards an informational awareness video on why wetlands matter and how they are being threatened.  This video will be shared with key community representatives.

CONNECTIONS AND PERSPECTIVES:

From this project students will gain an awareness of God’s creation around us and how we can be good stewards. They will also have the opportunity to serve the community by doing hands on work around local wetlands.
