PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Explain the First Nation creation story in seven stanzas (in English).  Have students brainstorm the Biblical creation story in seven stanzas. In pairs, have students make a poster or PowerPoint explaining the Biblical creation story. As a class, we will read and discuss Le Petit Éléphant in seven stanzas and engage in a lesson on adjectives (colours, size and emotion). Students will then write their own adapted story, in seven stanzas, using an animal that best describes them explaining why they look the way they do. Students will present their stories to grade seven students.
