How could we grow healthy plants in Jakarta?
Students will begin with field trips, hearing guest speakers and conducting other areas of research to determine what plants need to grow and environmental factors that affect growth. They will experiment with those factors to understand them more fully. They will then study community health implications (food quality, economy, public health) impacted by these factors and plant growth. Finally they will identify a specific business and/or government office that could make a positive change which would affect plant growth and ultimately community health and create a persuasive media presentation advocating for the change.
Students will not only gain a solid knowledge base, but be agents of redemptive restoration of plants and other aspects of a community’s health. They will learn how to be good stewards of God’s creation and develop character that cares for people and the environment as God does.
